- Here is some great info from Dr. Kellyann regarding the natural flavors in our products! What is in your natural flavors? If you know me, you know I’m all about natural, good-for-you foods. So one thing you can count on is that when my labels say natural flavors, these flavors really are natural. Here’s the story behind these ingredients. My products do not contain MSG. MSG is an artificial flavor, and there is no MSG in any of my products—ever. My natural flavors truly are natural. To create the natural flavors in my products, we use an enzymatic process—that is, enzymes and hot water—to extract and isolate the desired flavors. The enzymes we use are grown from bacteria in a very natural process that’s similar to how kombucha and kefir are created. Extraction and isolation allow us to get a concentrated amount of flavor from a small amount of food. Why? Simple: So we can provide a chocolate or orange-flavored collagen drink without having to add the sugar from the actual chocolate bar or orange.
