Roasted Portobello Burger "Buns"
When it comes to crafting the perfect burger, the focus is often on the patty. Whether you're a beef purist, a chicken aficionado, or a veggie burger devotee, the centerpiece of any burger is typically the filling. But today, let's shift the spotlight and celebrate the often-overlooked hero of the burger: the bun. Specifically, we're diving into the deliciously satisfying world of Dr. Kellyann's Roasted Portobello Mushroom Burger Buns.
Why Portobello Buns?
Portobello mushrooms are not only a fantastic substitute for traditional bread buns, but they also bring a wealth of flavor and texture that can elevate any burger. These large, meaty mushrooms are naturally gluten-free, low in carbs, and rich in nutrients like vitamin D, potassium, and antioxidants. They have a savory umami taste that pairs beautifully with a variety of fillings, making them the perfect choice for a healthy, gourmet twist on your classic burger.
